PlotIQ Guide
Introduction
PlotIQ is a powerful tool for calculating and visualizing dose-response curves. This guide will help you understand how to use all of PlotIQ's features effectively.
Getting Started
1. Entering Data
To begin using PlotIQ:
- Enter your dose values in the "Dose" column
- Enter corresponding response values in the "Response" column
- Click "Add Row" to add more data points
- Use "Remove Row" to delete unwanted data points
2. Data Format
PlotIQ accepts the following data formats:
- Dose values: Any positive number
- Response values: Numbers between 0 and 100 (percentage)
Advanced Features
1. Curve Fitting
PlotIQ automatically fits your data to a dose-response curve. The curve fitting process:
- Uses a four-parameter logistic model
- Calculates EC50 values
- Provides goodness-of-fit statistics
2. Customization Options
You can customize your plot using:
- Axis labels
- Plot title
- Color schemes
- Grid display options
3. Export Options
PlotIQ allows you to:
- Export data as CSV
- Save plots as PNG images
- Copy data to clipboard
Best Practices
- Include at least 5 data points for accurate curve fitting
- Ensure dose values cover the full range of interest
- Include control values (0% and 100% response)
- Check the goodness-of-fit statistics
Troubleshooting
Common Issues
- Curve not fitting properly: Check for outliers and ensure sufficient data points
- Export issues: Ensure your browser allows downloads
- Calculation errors: Verify all data points are valid numbers
